YOU HEARD IT.

Allow me to put this forth: let's get the fuck outta this town.
'this town' being 'my mind'.
Sometimes (right now) I wish I could delete everything that has ever happened and start again.
"but why?" you may ask.

Because then I can be void of the repetitiveness of my current state of heart/mind.

Because THEN I will be able to ensure that I can re-set my neurological wiring, to be certain that I don't embed anymore of the patterns that my brain has grown so fond of.

Have I lost ya?

You better play catch up.

Humans have a dirty little habit of handing themselves the same fucking experience over and over again.

This is because neurological pathways are made deeper by repeated use. (duh)

So we have what are called 'patterns' or 'behavioural patterns'.

These 'patterns' are really in the form of 'experiences'.

Have you ever found yourself having the same experience over and over again, just with different people?

I have.

The worst part about this whole shebang (cute word?) is that most of it is done sub-consciously; When you aren't even aware.

Yep, do you feel like you've just been slapped with the truth?

You have.

Just incase any of you are finding it hard to keep up- what I am saying is, we walk around repeating the same process and we are basically getting ourselves into the same shit over and over again, and we don't even know we are doing it until we have fully landed in the thick of it.

Now, it's not all bad news kids.

The remedy?

If you enjoy a dramatic overtone quite like I do, then you can pray to Jimi Hendrix to save your soul and delete your entire past to avoid making acquaintance with any of your 'patterns'.

But let's be realistic; Jimi don't give a faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

The remedy lies in your mental strength, courage and awareness of your mind.

You basically are going to have to babysit your mind.

You'll have to keep an eye on your triggers (things that set you off) and be aware of scenarios that pop up and how you behave.

-Are you doing what you have always done?
-Why? Are you scared?

PAY ATTENTION!

Pay attention to your mind and your body.

-How do things make you feel?

Do some conversations make you want to run in the opposite direction? If the answer is yes, and that is what you have always done; then now is the time to create a new pathway!!!

WERK IT, BABY!

This is how we embed new pathways and start to change our 'patterns'. We take a new road, face a fear, do something we have never done, make ourselves vulnerable- whatever! Just stop doing the same shit and expecting a different result!

VOILA.

It won't happen overnight, but it will happen.

We have spent years and years developing these 'grooves' in our brain, we have been making them real deep and now it is time to make NEW ones! Naturally, the old grooves are gonna be deeper and so much easier to use...but you have to work at this.

You have to push yourself and muster up all of your mental strength (c'mon, you've got some!) to go down the 'groove' less travelled and make a new experience for yourself.

Now, i'm not a psychologist, and after reading this- you probably think I need to see one, but I am telling you; the basic fundamentals of this will change your experience and help you to change your life.

You can have the life you want.

You can.

and if you try this out for yourself; you will.

You just have to stop eating today's lunch out of yesterdays bin.

Give yourself some new mental food for thought.

Challenge your ideals.

Stretch your beliefs and find out if you have been hiding from some truths.

Now go out there and reconnect with the truths that are in your heart.

Give yourself what you fucking want!

Get what you deserve!

It's not going to be easy (we are battling years and years of repetition baby) but it is going to be WORTH IT.

PREACH!!!

:)
